Safeguarding

At Newark Orchard School, safeguarding our children is the responsibility of everyone.

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children refers to the process of protecting children from maltreatment, preventing the impairment of children’s health or development, ensuring that children are growing up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care and taking action to enable all children to have the best life chances.

Within Newark Orchard School, every member of staff receives Safeguarding training and all staff are made aware of the Safeguarding and Pastoral team.
